Crowns & Bridges

When a tooth is starting to crack or has more filling patches than remaining structure, they may need a full or partial crown to help hold the tooth together. A crown is like a custom made hat that wraps around the sides of the tooth and covers the top of the tooth to hold everything together. A bridge is a restorative option to replace a missing tooth. It holds onto the neighboring teeth by crowning them and has a floating tooth over the missing tooth space.

Dental Implants

Dental implants have evolved into a wonderful restorative option. When it comes to a single tooth replacement, implants allow you to replace a tooth without altering the neighboring teeth. For an area where multiple teeth are lost, an implant bridge can help fill in a small section or even an entire arch of teeth.

Dentures

When natural teeth have failed us, it is wonderful to have restorative options to smile about. Dr. Sellers and her team are here help guide you through the denture process. Together we can help shape your new smile or refresh your current one.

Early Growth Intervention

Is there enough room for my child's adult teeth?  Can my child breathe through their nose during the day and while they are sleeping? Are they grinding their teeth at night or wetting the bed? Are they extra energetic and have sleepy rings under their eyes? If you have been pondering any of these questions, please consider an early growth intervention evaluation. We can examine your child's anatomical structure, growth direction, lip and tongue function and discuss options.  Children are constantly growing. Let's try to help them grow in the right direction.

Esthetic Dentistry

Having a beautiful smile gives you confidence. Dr. Sellers and her team would be happy to help you create your beautiful smile. Sometimes this can be as simple as a whitening treatment. Teeth stain over time from our coffee, tea, and colored food (i.e. blueberries, beets, and other colorful foods). There a many ways to whiten teeth. The fastest method is an in-office whitening treatment. The best DIY method is with custom trays with whitening gels. Please ask us about the variety of whitening products available at your next visit. When whitening is not enough, we can also look into designing your smile with veneers and/or crowns.  Let's evaluate your smile.

General Dentistry

Family First Dentistry is a great dental home for patients of all ages.  We provide routine care including examinations, cleanings, fillings and sealants. Family First Dentistry also provides care for gum disease treatment (periodontal disease), simple extractions and simple root canal treatments.

Laser Dentistry

Dentistry is constantly evolving with it's use of dental lasers. Dr. Sellers enjoys using her laser for fascia therapy and for lip releases. The 1064 nm wavelength laser has many tissue benefits. It helps the cells in the area to heal, reduces inflammation, helps isolate tongue restrictions and also helps support the nervous system in the area.

Lip and Tongue Tie

Lip and tongue frena are composed of inelastic collogen type-3 fibers. These fibers are part of the deep thoracic chain of fascia which runs from the tip of your tongue to the tip of your big toes. When this tissue is too tight it restricts movement of the lip and/or tongue. Infants may demonstrate nursing difficulties and aerophagia (swallowing air) which causes upset tummies. In young children and adults restricted tissues can result in swallowing difficulty, food texture struggles, posture strains and pain patterns. Check out our resources page for a full list of symptoms and more information.

TMJ Diagnosis and Treatment

Symptoms of jaw pain and/or clicking/popping can gradually occur or suddenly appear. If you notice a sudden change it is important to reach out to your dentist in a timely matter. Ear pain, ear ringing, tooth pain and eye pain can all be referred from TMJ issues. Non-surgical therapeutic interventions are the best place to start with TMJ treatments.
